| CELEBRATION ADVISORY AT ROY'S |
May 26, 2004
Tuesday, May 25th (starting at 5 PM)
http://www.roysrestaurant.com Lei Day at Roy’s
Since 1928, Lei Day in Hawaii has meant fragrant garlands of flowers everywhere – it’s a celebration of life with hula and song, dedicated to the Lei as a symbol of Hawaiian culture, love and friendship.
Tuesday, May 25th (starting at 5 PM)
Roy’s, Newport Beach Fashion Island. Includes live music and hula dancing.
Guests taking part in the special celebration will receive a handmade fresh flower Lei flown in from up country Maui.
The giving of a Lei, accompanied by a kiss on the cheek, speaks of the island philosophy of kindness and love. Even though a flowered Lei lasts only a short time, the thought behind it lingers…
MENU: Roy’s will offer a Lei Day four-course prix fixe menu, paired with Chateau St. Michelle and Villa Mt. Eden wines, specially created by Roy Yamaguchi. It ranges from Island delicacies like Crispy Kalua Pork, to Roy’s classic Maui Wowie Salad, Hawaiian Surf ‘n Turf and ends with the native Haupia Crème Brulee
