| 2002 California Biennial - at the Orange County Museum of Art |
May 26, 2002 - September 8, 2002
www.ocma.net Biennial exhibits are by their nature an indication of the state of contemporary art, a two-year gauge of what has developed and changed. The exibit promises to be particularly engaging since the artists selected make up a culturally diverse group and are also highly varied in their choice styles, content and mediums. To prepare for the exhibition, the curators conducted a large number of studio visits, during which they made decisions about the artists and their work. In making their selections, they focused on the most vibrant ideas found among a new generation of visual artists working throughout the state. It is sure to be a fascinating exhibit.
