May 19, 2005 - May 22, 2005
http://www.firstteamregatta.com Organizers of the First Team Real Estate Invitational Regatta announce additional event sponsorship opportunities. The regatta will take place May 19-22, 2005 – bringing together top caliber yachts, including maxZ86s, off-shore racers more than 50 feet in length, and Transpac 52s. Sponsorship packages are tailored to your needs and can consist of logo recognition on competing yachts, banners, advertisements and a variety of printed materials. Opportunities may also include privileges to limited spectator slots on the racing yachts, chartered spectator boats and access to elite social functions held throughout the entire event. The First Team Real Estate Invitational Regatta is a collaboration between First Team Real Estate, Hoag Hospital Foundation, Newport Harbor Yacht Club and Balboa Yacht Club. Together, with the support of sponsors, the event committee and community, this yachting experience is coming to life.
The growing list of renowned boats includes Pyewacket, America’s Challenge, Grand Illusion, Magnitude, Vicki, Bolt, Chayah, It’s OK, Stark Raving Mad and Margaritaville. Races will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. “Friday’s races are intended to provide sponsors and their guests with a great opportunity to experience the action in a relaxed, yet competitive format,” explains Jay Swigart, event co-chair. “Races on Saturday and Sunday will likely be true windward-leeward courses with limited on board sponsor participation.”
The regatta will provide for first-rate social functions, including elite sponsor events at Newport Beach’s finest venues, a welcome reception at Balboa Yacht Club, a gala at Balboa Bay Club and an awards banquet at Newport Harbor Yacht Club. “Event supporters will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the boat owners, skippers and crew, sponsors and guests,” adds Jim Madden, event co-chair.
Event proceeds will benefit Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute on the Newport Beach campus of Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.
