Verdi's opera IL Trovatore tells the immortal tale of love, jealousy and treachery to a score of soaring melodies. As the curtain rises, haunting painful and fiery recollections of a tragic past swirl around the tortured gypsy, Azucena. Il Trovatore contains countless favorites including the Anvil Chorus, "Stride la vampa," "Di quella pira" and the Miserere. Leading the cast is Met star Zvetilina Vassileva as Leonara and the international superstar Irina Mishura as Azucena. Hugh Smith returns as Manrico, son of the tortured gypsy.
